AIC manufactures high quality, engineered thermoplastics and fluoropolymers including PTFE, PEEK®, PFA, PPS, and P-84 Polyimide™. These materials exhibit very good chemical resistance and our specific grades have been created by adding reinforcements, fillers or additives. In general, mechanical properties are most significantly increased by adding reinforcing fibers, like glass and carbon. Adding particulate fillers, like carbon or metal powders, usually increases the material's stiffness or modulus, but may also create a more brittle material. Metallic reinforcements and additives will also make these materials conductive, both electrically and thermally. AIC has internal blending capabilities and will develop special materials for a particular application.
